Discover MCTRON's revolutionary emulsion polymer technology that provides exceptional water repellency and adhesion properties for a wide range of industrial applications.
PermaPel® is a unique patented emulsion polymer "system" that provides exceptional adhesion and water resistance to a wide range of substrates including low energy surfaces like aluminum, nylon, and polyolefins. PermaPel® Technology can be customized by MCTRON for most acrylic, styrene acrylic, and vinyl acrylic applications over a broad Tg range and viscosity adjustments are possible to meet processing parameters. The PermaPel® system is easy to formulate and is FDA compliant for food contact under 21 CFR § 176.170 and 21 CFR § 176.180. PermaPel® is very cost effective, formaldehyde free and can be produced as resin supported or surfactant stabilized. Cross-linked options are also possible. PermaPel® is used in a wide spectrum of applications such as paper, barrier coatings for food packaging, textile, non-woven, adhesive and a wide range of other industrial applications. PermaPel® products can be applied by a number of techniques including rod coater, flexo press, gravure, size press, spray and roller.
