MCTRON is a leading producer of emulsion polymers with a comprehensive line of acrylic, styrene-acrylic, vinyl-acrylic and vinyl-acetate products for use in caulk and mastic applications. Maxxacryl® AC-3025
Maxxacryl® AC-3025 is a high-solids acrylic emulsion polymer that provides excellent adhesion properties, high pigment-binding capacity, and durability. It dries clear, has excellent water resistance, good gloss, and is compatible with a many other formulating ingredients such as fillers, pigments, and dyes.
Maxxacryl® SA-292
Maxxacryl® SA-292 emulsion is a formaldehyde-free, carboxylated, styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion. The emulsion films are very soft and exhibit excellent resistance to discoloration. These films are also characterized by their superior water resistance. Use this product where flexibility, water resistance, and superior aging characteristics are required.
Maxxacryl® SA-6406
Maxxacryl® SA-6406 is a shear thinning styrene acrylic emulsion copolymer that is extremely water resistant and wash resistant when used as a base in high performance paints, adhesives and anticorrosive primers. It provides excellent adhesion to metal surfaces with excellent resistance to alkalinity.
MaxxThix® MT-4
MaxxThix® MT-4 thickener is a high efficiency alkali-swellable emulsion thickener for use in emulsion polymer compounds. Applications include mastics and high viscosity compounds. The rheology of MaxxThix MT-4 thickener is short and buttery.
MaxxThix® AT-17
MaxxThix® AT 17 is an associative thickener, supplied as an easy-to-use alkali-swellable emulsion. It is designed for coatings with a “yield point” which flow readily under shear (such as brushing) yet which will not run (sag) when the shear is removed. Dyes thickened slightly with this product will not bleed through a paper towel. It keeps coatings on the surface of a substrate (minimal penetration).
MaxxBreak® OB-396 NS
MaxxBreak® OB-396 NS is a defoamer designed specifically for latex paints and adhesives; however, it has extremely universal use in defoaming applications.
MaxxBreak® SE-030
MaxxBreak® SE-030 is an aqueous organo-silicone defoaming/antifoam emulsion formulated for a variety of industrial processing applications. It contains hydrophobic particles coupled with proprietary defoaming surfactants and spreading agents that facilitate penetration of the foam lamella, causing rapid drainage of the thin film and foam destabilization.
Maxxacryl® and Maxxetate® emulsion polymers create the base for MCTRON’s comprehensive coatings product lines. Process aids including MaxxBreak® defoamers, and rheology modifiers in our MaxxThix® line allow formulators to fine-tune coatings for demanding technical needs.
Maxxacryl® AC-3164
Maxxacryl® AC-3164 is a tacky elastomeric acrylic polymer. Coatings formulated with this product have good adhesion to both polar and non-polar substrates. It has excellent low-temperature performance, and adds flexibility to harder polymers. It is tacky at room temperature, allowing it to be utilized for dust collection applications.
Maxxacryl® SA-292

PermaPel® WG-84
PermaPel® WG-84 is a non-blocking MCTRON polymer designed to incorporate our wash-durable specialty monomer technology into a typical RC (rheology-controlled) polymerization system with the addition of a non-formaldehyde generating crosslinking system. The RC technology has historically been used in floor polishes, graphic arts polymers and overprint varnishes. It has superior adhesion with hard to low energy substrates such as fiberglass, plastic film, foil and galvanized aluminum. It also exhibits excellent oil and grease resistance achieving Kit values exceeding 12 when a continuous film is applied to paperboard. It also has excellent Cobb values.
MaxxThix® MT-4
