Denim Dyeing & Finishing
Our manufacturing and laboratory capabilities in Greenville, South Carolina and Charlotte, North Carolina provide MCTRON’s customers with flexibility in product design and in-house fabric testing capabilities along with over 200 years of textile dyeing and finishing expertise. Many of our products shown below are designed specifically for use on denim and are manufactured to the highest quality standards.
MaxxLube® HDPE-25 is a high-density oxidized polyethylene powder that provides sewing lubricity, tear-strength protection, abrasion resistance, and sanforizing lubricity to a variety of textile fabrics when used in emulsified form.
MaxxLube® HDPE-2540 is a high-density oxidized polyethylene micro-emulsion that provides sewing lubricity, tear-strength protection, abrasion resistance, and sanforizing lubricity to a variety of textile fabrics.
MaxxLube® 35L is a blend of lubricants and softeners formulated to provide outstanding performance as a yarn beaming aid on Indigo-dyed ball warps. Due to excellent fiber-to-fiber lubricity characteristics, it also performs well as a package & beam dyeing after-softener. It is a common component in finishing loom-state denim-sanforized fabrics.
MaxxLube® RW-100 is a stable water soluble non-ionic sanforizing lubricant and softener.
MaxxaPel® 102 is a thermosetting water repellent and fluorochemical extender in emulsion form. It offers improved water impact penetration, spray ratings and hydrostatic pressure performance.
MaxxaPel® 1200 is a concentrated thermosetting water repellent and fluorochemical extender in emulsion form that improves water impact penetration, spray ratings and hydrostatic pressure performance. It is supplied in prill form.
PermaPel® SRZ6010 is a MCTRON polymer that incorporates our wash durable specialty monomer technology with the addition of a non-formaldehyde generating crosslinking system designed to eliminate crocking of denim and other dyed fabrics.
PermaPel® SRZ6019 is a very soft, non-tacky binder that is a self-crosslinking. carboxylated, styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion. Films of PermaPel SRZ6019 are very soft and exhibit excellent resistance to discoloration and are also characterized by their superior water repellency, wash durability and superior aging characteristics.
Denim Garment Processing

As a basic polymer producer, we have the capability of redesigning any product if necessary to meet market demands at a reasonable cost to our customers. MaxxBloc® PB-100 is a polyester polymer designed to impart excellent anti redeposition properties on cotton and polyester/cotton blends. It is extremely effective in minimizing back staining of indigo dyes during the processing of denim fabrics.
MaxxBloc® PB-102 is a polyester polymer designed to impart excellent anti redeposition properties on cotton and polyester/cotton blends. It is extremely effective in minimizing back staining of indigo dyes during the processing of denim fabrics. It can be dispersed to low viscosities at high solids concentrations.
MaxxBloc® PB-1270 is a polyester polymer chemistry designed to impart excellent anti-redeposition properties during denim garment washing.
MaxxBloc® PB-1285 is a high-solids liquid polyester polymer designed to impart excellent anti-redeposition properties on cotton and polyester/cotton blends. MaxxBloc PB-1285 is extremely effective in minimizing back staining of indigo dyes during the processing of denim fabrics.
MaxxBloc® PBS-1285 is a polyester polymer combined with surfactant chemistry designed to impart excellent anti-redeposition properties on cotton and polyester/cotton blends.
MaxxSperse® MSX-PB-125 is an extremely effective detergent designed to clean denim. It is used for direct application in the desize, abrasion and final cleaning stage on cotton and synthetics during the processing of denim.
MaxxSperse® MSX-90 is an extremely effective, highly-concentrated wetting agent designed to minimize back staining of indigo dyes on cotton during the denim fabric processing. It is non-ionic and compatible with all classes of enzymes including amylases, cellulases and lactases, and can be used in combination with other MCTRON products to further improve performance. It can be used in the de-sizing, stone washing or final clean up steps.
MaxxSperse® MS-90 is an economical, effective, highly-concentrated wetting agent designed to minimize back staining of indigo dyes on cotton denim fabric processing. It is non-ionic and compatible with all classes of enzymes including amylases, cellulases and lactases, and can be used in combination other MCTRON products to further improve performance. It can be used in the de-sizing, stone washing or final clean up steps.
MaxxLink® DP-83 is a highly-concentrated thermosetting reactant providing durable wrinkle-free performance to cellulosic-containing fabrics. It is a DMDHEU product designed to impart whiskers and other special effects on denim in addition to providing durable press and shrinkage control to cotton-containing fabrics when applied properly. It is chlorine resistant with extremely low formaldehyde levels on cured fabrics. It is also scorch and chlorine resistant to commercial launderings with minimum effect on shade, and is easily cured with magnesium-based catalysts.
Maxxacryl® AC-3112 is a soft self-crosslinking acrylic-based emulsion. It is designed for use as a soft hand finish on a variety of substrates including cellulosic, synthetic and/or blended non-wovens.
Maxxacryl® SA-292 emulsion is a formaldehyde-free, carboxylated, styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion. The emulsion films are very soft and exhibit excellent resistance to discoloration. These films are also characterized by their superior water resistance. Use this product where flexibility, water resistance, and superior aging characteristics are required.
PermaPel® SRZ019 emulsion is a very soft, non-tacky binder that is a self-crosslinking. carboxylated, styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion.
PermaPel® SRZ6010 is a MCTRON polymer that incorporates our wash durable specialty monomer technology with the addition of a non-formaldehyde generating crosslinking system designed to eliminate crocking of denim and other dyed fabrics.
PermaPel SRN010 is a MCTRON patent-pending polymer that has been designed to incorporate provide wash durability to multiple washes, crock resistance, and superior adhesion to low energy substrates such as fabric, fiberglass, plastic film, foil and metals.
PermaPel® SRN019 emulsion is a very soft, non-tacky carboxylated styrene-acrylic copolymer emulsion.
MaxxZyme® ACL2X is a concentrated acid cellulase enzyme that is designed to perform well in both bio polishing and denim washing applications.
MaxxZyme® NCP is a neutral cellulase powder enzyme that can be run at lower temperatures. Besides being functional at cold temperatures of 20-40°C, it provides high contrast with minimum back staining.
MaxxZyme® ADS10X is an alpha-amylase preparation produced using a strain of a non-pathogenic microorganism that breaks down starch and is especially effective for hydrolyzing starch in textile size.
